Our Recruiting Process

At Career Connections, we pride ourselves in our 4 step Recruiting Process that has proven successful time and time again.

DEFINE      After a client has elected to work with us to help fill a need within their organization, we begin our proven, four-stage process for a successful candidate search.  Our process begins with our Define stage and an in-depth client interview which encompasses the individual requirement profile and a corporate environment description.  An understanding of the corporate environment is often a critical element in identifying the right candidate for an individual company.  This is best accomplished through an onsite visit with the client by one of our account executives.

IDENTIFY     The second phase of our process, Identify, is the candidate sourcing stage.  As we are actively in touch with thousands of working professionals throughout the country, we can tap into a extremely-qualified group of passive job seekers.  These individuals are highly successful in their current positions,  but open to exploring  new opportunities.

Our experience has shown that these individuals have become the most successful new employees for our clients.  Our first source of candidates is our proprietary database;  it holds all of the information we have gathered on all candidates over the course of the past ten years.  We also actively work our professional network to refer candidates that are known to our trusted sources as quality individuals with strong track records.

QUALIFY      Once we have identified potential candidates for a job requirement, we begin the screening interviews.  During the Qualify phase in our interviews we thoroughly review work and education history, obtain relevant professional references and gather specific information regarding achievements in the respective candidate’s career.  We implement the information obtained in the Identify phase to formulate probing questions that will reveal the uniquely qualified candidates most appropriate for the specific position at hand.  One of our major goals in this phase is to determine if an individual’s “soft skills” and personality suit the particular client work environment.  Whenever possible, we meet candidates in person,  and utilize video conferencing if available.  We also verify financial licenses and check references if appropriate.

FACILITATE     The fourth phase of our process, Facilitate takes us from submitting a candidate to a client through the onboarding process.  We typically guide and stay very close to the evaluation and selection process and play the role of facilitator to ensure everything goes smoothly.   A candidate is submitted with all relevant information that is outlined with the client at the beginning of the process.  All phone and face to face interviews can be scheduled through your account executive and we encourage our clients to rely on us during this phase.  As the interview process continues, you can rely on us to actively communicate with the candidate and to continue gauging and encouraging their interest.  When a candidate is selected, a client often utilizes us to inform the candidate and ensure that they accept and begin a position on the desired date.  We often enjoy a strong relationship with our candidates through relationships built over time; this affords us a role as an influential career advisor with our candidates as opposed to a faceless “headhunter”.  At Career Connections, we believe onboarding is a critical stage of the hiring process.
